Color and CRI Choices of Led high bay
Our led high bay Fixtures come standard in 5000K color
temperature, which is the bright white that is most commonly requested by end
users and members of our Authorized Reseller network. Upon request, we produce
3500K and 4000K LED high bays, and
we provide clear or frosted lens tubes.
The clear lens LED tubes within the high
bay are the default, because they emit more light than the frosted lens tubes.
The standard high bay Color Rendering Index (CRI) is 70 to meet the
requirements of the DesignLights Consortium (DLC) Qualified Products List.
Special order CRI 85 tubes are also available for our led high bay. We have produced high CRI fixtures for a national
chain big box retail assessment program that also included warm 3000K color.
Recently, a distributor from Ireland also requested a high CRI fixture for a
massive food processing plant, so we expect to make the CRI 85 standard as
demand increases. led high bay lights

comes standard. Plus, each led high bay lights fixture
is “Smart Control Enabled “ to work with sensors. This empowers facility owners
and operators to incorporate optional sensors that turn on the fixtures or
increase the light levels only when the designated area is in use. The most
common use of sensors for industrial high bays is when a forklift truck turns
from a major artery into an aisle. on
the ramps leading up or down to a given
level or at an elevator or stair triggered by pedestrians. The net result is a
further reduction in energy costs, given that the led high bay parking garage
fixtures are only operating at full capacity when the needed area is in use. Light harvesting is increasingly
popular, and photocells can measure ambient light levels to dim back certain
fixtures near skylights on sunny days while alternatively increasing output on
overcast days. This led high bay intelligence reflects
enables a new generation of smart high bay facilities to adapt to conditions
from occupancy to seasonality. Strobing
is also now possible to send alerts via the led high bay systems across the
high bay facility. This is a life safety benefit for situations such as
evacuation in the event of industrial toxic leaks or other emergencies. led high bay lights

Adjustment is an excellent advantage for
owners and operators of properties with high bays. Our Independence led high bay are powered by an
external “independent” driver, which means that that we are able to bypass the
fixture tombstones and allow rotation at
installation or anytime afterwards. This
is a particularly relevant benefit to
increase light distribution at the top of shelving racks for warehouse or
retail big box stores. Forklift truck
operators can more easily see the box or palette labels with adequate light.
Given that the Independence led high bay have multiple tubes,
the outer edge tubes can rotate toward the higher level storage, while the
inner tubes can illuminate the mid and low level storage as well as the aisles.
Certain facilities require vapor tight vs open fixtures, and Independence led high bay delivers on the requirements. Our
Underwriters Laboratories (UL) fixtures are not just “Listed” but “Classified”.
This means that we have the ability to go beyond the standard open fixture to
provide our high performance tubes in any UL fixture. led high bayThe flexibility is key
in the case of sports facilities that often require a caged fixture. Unconditioned high bay facilities, especially
in warm climates often generate extreme heat at the ceiling, and the
Independence LED high bay fixture can withstand heat up to 140 degrees
Fahrenheit while other LED fixtures max
out at 122 degrees Fahrenheit. Independence led high bay fixtures can perform
in high heat environments due to the advanced thermal management of the
extruded aircraft grade aluminum vs. the more porous and less conductive cast
aluminum used in competing fixtures.
